Grade 2s fly Elliot Airlines to Meteghan

Mrs. Elliot's Grade Two class took a virtual field trip to Meteghan, Nova Scotia to wrap up their unit in Social Studies. They went to the airport (our library), showed their passport to security and then Mrs. Kary scanned their tickets. After boarding the plane, they listened to the in-flight safety video. Shortly after take-off, the flight attendants offered cookies and pretzels to the students.  The SMARTboard projected the flight and many students commented how real it felt. After landing, they pretended to text their families to let them know they had arrived safely. Then they took a tour around Meteghan (a drone video of the community) and discussed everything they had learned. Mrs. Elliot sure makes learning fun!
